Berries, berries, and more berries!
Sidhu Farms is a berry kingdom in the heart of the Puyallup Valley. Chet Sidhu founded the operation in 1997, having come from a line of farmers in India. “From Punjab to Puyallup” describes his journey, as he made his way to the US in the early eighties. Over the years, the farm has grown to include approximately 90 acres of plots located throughout the valley. Although they grow many berries, it’s their Certified Organic Blueberries that lead the charge every season.
As already mentioned, though, this farm is a berry powerhouse, producing strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, marion and boysenberries to sell at local farmers markets, organic food stores, and local food stands in the region. (There’s also a little room for cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, tomatoes, and traditional Indian market favorites: okra and Indian squash.)This farm is also a family-run business with Chet’s sons, Kamal, Sundeep, and Sharnjit helping him with the daily operations of farming, harvesting, and selling their amazing crops.
